Mind Your Manners Program
This program is for owners who just want to address those annoying behavior problems. We’ll
work with you in your home to teach your dog to act politely when people come to the door,
walk nicely on leash, and stop jumping on people and furniture.

Behavioral Consultations/Problem Solving
Our trainers will meet with you to help with issues such as house training, aggression,
managing a multi-dog household, introducing a new dog into the home, and how to select a
new puppy or dog. We also offer programs to evaluate your dog with other dogs and help
socialize him or her with new dogs.

Puppy Programs
Help start your puppy off on the right paw. We’ll provide you information on house training,
crate training, socializing and leadership. We’ll also demonstrate how to address common
puppy behaviors such as puppy biting, chewing, and jumping.

Basic Obedience Program
We’ll work with you and your to dog to teach basic commands such as sit, down, stay, go to
their place mat and settle, come, and loose leash walking.

Our personalized training program involves a balance of
praise, encouragement, and correction.
No two dogs or owners are alike; each lesson is tailored
to the goals of the owner and your dog.

We got a 10 week old, Morkie puppy and knew we needed help training him
because of our limited knowledge of dogs. I called several places. I was so
impressed with Mike’s knowledge and expertise during our initial
conversation, that we scheduled an in-home training session. Mike was very
flexible with his schedule which made it easy to find a time that our whole
family could participate.

Our goal was to teach our puppy, Jackson, the basics. The whole family was
surprised at how well Jackson responded to Mike and how quickly he was
able to learn. Mike was excellent at teaching us about dogs and answering our
questions (and we had a bunch). After each session, Mike would give us
things to work on that would enforce what he had taught Jackson that day. He
would also send a follow-up email summarizing everything he had gone over.

One day while I was walking Jackson, the leash slipped out of my hand and he
took off running after a woman jogging. I instantly thought about running after
him but knew I wouldn’t be able to catch him. I then remembered what Mike
had taught us. I yelled “Jackson, come” and he came right back to me. Thank
goodness Mike had taught us this lifesaving command. This one experience
was worth every cent we spent on training!

We are enjoying our puppy and are grateful to have found Mike and Unleashed
Canine. We continue to work on the training techniques we learned and look
forward to Advanced Training Classes.
